Richard Graeber, our cabinet maker, arrived early this morning for the installation. I'm so pleased with the results! He did a fabulous job!!! We are almost to completion of this makeover. Next on our list is to replace our microwave and fridge. The final touches include countertops and sink. Hopefully, the job will be completed within the next couple of weeks.

Simply Silver
Standing on the threshold of the golden years, one has to really look at Christmas differently. Right now, I'm riding in the fast lane with working five days a week, stressing over buying the right gifts, worrying about trying to make everyone happy, making my home one that Martha S. would want to feature in next year's Christmas issue of her magazine, and the list goes on...Christmas is about to take a different route. Christmas should be a time of "Quiet Joy." I'm screeching to a hault and creating a Christmas "Bucket" list of sorts. Yes, I'll continue with the shopping, baking, decorating, etc...but, I'll take some time to do simple quiet things.
My Christmas "Bucket" list:
1. Curl up in my favorite chair with a book and a cup of hot chocolate.
2. Soak my feet in warm lavender epson salts.
3. Listen to Christmas music by the fireplace with Christmas tree lit and candles burning.
4. Fix a bowl of popcorn and watch an old movie.
5. Enjoy a martini with a favorite appetizer
