This week's adventure took me to Shelbyville. I explored a few antique stores and a couple of coffee shops. The find of the day was the little doggie in the window. He was sitting on a chair watching me. When I approached, he posed nicely for the picture. Shelbyville was the home Colonel Sanders of KFC fame. I provided a link with a little info about a family restaurant they started years ago.

Simply Silver Sunday Challenge
This old door was leaning against a building. I love the rustic look of it. Judging by the layers of exposed paint, it probably has many stories to tell...
Welcome to the Simply Silver Photo Challenge. This is the place to enter that photo that you didn't get to post anywhere. It doesn't have to be current! Click on the link at the top of the page for details!

Photo Therapy
It's another gloomy winter day. It's photos like this one that provide the sunshine and warmth that I need... The castle was created by my son-in-law. He set it with the perfect backdrop.

Week Seven of Fifty Two Weeks of Adventures
This week's adventure was a complete surprise. My plan was to go to lunch at a cafe known for its wild and zany decor. I thought it would be a fun place for capturing pictures. I never made it to that cafe... You are looking at the most amazing collection of Americana artifacts. My lunch companion and dear friend is married to the collector of these gems. He has done a fabulous job of displaying his treasures.

SOOC Collage
Today I decided to do a photo session in my daughter's old bedroom. My objective was to capture sharp images with my 50mm lens. I used my iPad and Photogene to make the collage. They appeared much brighter on the iPad than posted here. hmmm??

Project 366 Rewind Challenge
This week's theme for Project 366 Rewind is Fresh Start. After much thought, I decided to create photo sessions for myself each week. I was able to create five sessions to "fresh start" my new year. I learned a lot from these sessions:
1. Ramsi's Cafe- Don't be shy about using your camera in public.
2. My guest bathroom- You can find pretty things to snap without leaving the comforts of home.
3. Cash Register as a Model- The camera's eye is amazing.
5. Lunch- It's time to buy a macro lens.
6. A friend's craft room- Passion comes in many forms.
I only have one session planned thus far this week... it's only Monday...
