Week Fourteen of Fifty-Two Weeks
This week's adventure took me to Jeffersonville, Indiana where I visited Schimpff's Confectionery. This wonderful candy store is from another era. Since 1891 it's been creating wonderful homemade chocolates. These mouth watering treats were so inviting... I limited myself to a half pound of selected creamed filled bunnies. Also on the premises, you'll find a candy museum, a soda fountain, and a sandwich shop. To go back in time and spend a morning with the friendly workers of this establishment... priceless!

Adventure Twelve of 52 Weeks
Adventure Number Twelve took me to Phoenix, Arizona to visit my son and daughter-in-law. When my plane landed, I grabbed my backpack and made my way to the Metro Light Rail Station. From there, it was a short train ride to ASU. I love wandering around college campuses. It's the perfect setting for people watching. On Saturday, we went to the Renaissance Festival. Once again, a perfect place to capture interesting photos. My short trip to Phoenix, with its abundant sunshine, was the perfect tonic for curing the winter blues.

Fifty-Two Weeks...Adventure 11
Today's adventure was an unexpected surprise... I keyed Claire, my gps, to take me to the Springfield Winery near Bloomfield, Ky. When I arrived at the destination, there wasn't anything there!! Like humans, Claire makes mistakes, too. I didn't want to go on a wild goose chase, so I turned Ol' Blue (my car) around and headed back towards home. This path led me to Taylorsville. Its roots go back over two hundred years. Sadly, there's not much there. I did have a nice lunch at The Tea Cup. The locally owned establishment is a bakery and sandwich shop. The place was filled with friendly locals. My lunch included soup, ice tea, and a danish for less than $6.00.
